Privacy

Four Skies (fourskiesastro.com) is run by Marain Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore (“we”, “us”). This notice says what happens to information when you use it. The short version: we compute your chart and keep nothing about your birth.

Your birth details

• The date, time and place you enter are used to compute your chart for that one request. We do not store them in a database, and we do not link them to you.
• They are part of the chart page’s web address, so they stay in your browser’s history, and in any link you choose to send someone.
• Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records requests — including that web address — in operational logs, kept for a few days to run and debug the service, then deleted.
• Your Four Skies card is drawn in your own browser. It shows your signs, never your birth date or place, and it leaves your device only if you save or share it yourself.

What we count

We keep daily totals — how many charts were completed, how many times each room was opened, and how many cards were saved or shared. A total is a date, a name and a number. It contains no birth details, no IP address and nothing that identifies you. We use it to decide whether Four Skies is worth keeping (see the kill rule at the foot of every page).

If you create an account

You don’t need an account to use Four Skies. If you create one, we keep your email address, a hashed password and your sign-in sessions; we send you account emails (such as verification) through Resend; and we record your email and sign-up date in Marain’s customer records (hosted on Hetzner in Germany). You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Cookies

We set a session cookie only if you sign in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who processes data for us

• Cloudflare — hosting and request logs.
• Turso — our database (daily totals, birthplace list, and accounts, if any).
• Resend — account emails, only if you create an account.
• Hetzner — Marain’s customer records, only if you create an account.

These providers may process data outside your country. We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t show ads. Birthplace names come from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0); no data about you goes to GeoNames.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under Singapore’s PDPA, the EU and UK GDPR, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act — you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Since we store no birth details, for most visitors there is nothing to hand over. Write to our data protection officer at privacy.officer@marain.space.

Children

Four Skies is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we’ll update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
